no, the pic's not on it's side, it's just a weird angle. sorry for the bad quality, i took this with my phone, and he wouldn't keep still, and i can't use the flash because it would scare him. this is our Wallaby (small kangaroo) joey, Jack. he's roughly 6 months old and was orphaned when his mother was hit by a car (or at least we think that's what happened.) HE IS NOT A PET!he is a wild animal. in Australia, you can not, to my knowledge, own macropods (kangaroos, wallabies, possums, those kinds of animals) as pets, nor are you allowed to take them from the wild and care for them, unless you are licensed to do so, which we are. just thought i'd put that out there We volunteer for an organisation known as FAUNA, who rescue and care for native animals. each animal kind (birds, Macropods, reptiles etc) has a course one must do so you can care for them. we have done basic birds (there's two, the basic, and the raptor course, which is birds like eagles, which are birds of prey) and Macropods. we plan to do the raptor course, and the reptile course when they are open. anyway, this is jack, all nice and warm in is 'pouch', waiting for his bottle (he's bottle fed beuase he won't eat solid food for some time.) at this age, they normaly chew on grass while thier mothers eat, so we put grass for him to chew on during the day, between feeds during the night, but during the day he goes outside into an enclosure we built for him. he occationaly gets out and hops around, but like any baby, he hasn't quite found his balance yet. HE'S SO CUTE! keep an eye out for more pics of him. i have some of him outside on my camera, but i have to put them on my PC.
only the last minute of it because it was on TV and we were waiting for the show after it i think that's who he was named after though (we didn't name him, the people who rescued him did)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! he's SO adorable. I just wanna hug him til he pops.
